Description
This is a popular Japanese eggplant variety growing up to 35 cm (14 in) long. The fruit is slender with purplish-black colour. Early, productive, and fine-quality long eggplant. Stir-fry, grill or use in tempura. 60 Days
Planting Instructions
Start seed indoors 6 to 8 weeks in advance of intended date for moving the plants to the garden. Plant seed in 8 cm (3 in) jiffy pots or strips. Just cover the seed and keep soil warm, 24 C (75 F). Seed germinates in 7 to 10 days. Grow on at a warm 24 C (75 F) temperature. Transplant into the garden once danger of frost has passed. Space 45 cm (18 in) apart in rows 1 m (3 ft) apart. Feed weekly with 10-52-17 and organic seaweed for strong healthy plants.
