Description

A much improved Asian spinach with tasty, succulent, deep green arrow-shaped leaves held on long, upright stems. Slow to bolt and produces a higher quality leaf. Plants are easier to grow than any other Asian-arrow type spinach. Make a wonderful spinach salad, or mix ‘Imperial Green’ spinach leaves with lettuce and other greens.

Planting Instructions

Sow seed outdoors as soon as the danger of frost is past. Plant in rows 60 cm (2 ft) apart, spacing seeds 5 cm (2 in) apart in the row. Cover with 1 cm (1/2 in) of fine soil, well pressed down. Thin to 25 cm (10 in) apart when seedlings are 5 cm (2 in) tall. Seed can take up to 2 weeks to germinate. Cut leaves frequently, as this will encourage new growth. Fertilize every 2 weeks with 10-52-17 formula and liquid seaweed for vigorous plants.
