Trees Poplar Green Giant

Need a big, beautiful tree in a hurry? This is the one! The Green Giant Poplar is incredibly hardy and fast growing, often putting on up to 6ft. of growth in a single season. Its tall, upright form gives it a striking Northwest-like appearance, and the oversized leaves (nearly dinner-plate sized!) add bold texture to the landscape.

This seedless variety is drought tolerant and performs far better than Northwest Poplar (which is prone to bud gall mite) and Brooks #6 (commonly canker-prone). The original parent trees have grown in a Saskatoon shelterbelt for more than 30 years, proving their impressive durability on the Prairies.

Excellent as a feature tree or for creating quick height in large landscapes.
